Get Involved

There are so many ways to get involved, big and small! Please get involved in whatever way works for you and your family.

• Join the PTA. As a paid member of the PTA, you are able to cast a vote on all DSHS PTA matters. Your voice and your vote are key to making an impact for our school community.

• Attend PTA meetings. The calendar of PTA General Association Meetings is posted here. If you have any interest in learning more about the PTA function and operation and hearing about school issues directly from our principal,  sitting in on a meeting is a wonderful first step. You do not need to be a PTA member to attend General Association Meetings.

• Volunteer time. There are many ways to help out, from one-day commitments, to leading a PTA program committee, to serving in an executive board leadership role.

• Donate money.  This is the easiest way to get involved for those short on time. 

• Sign up for Scrip. Our local Nugget Market offers a Community Scrip Program that donates a percentage of your purchases to a school or program of your choice. Once you are signed up, just scan your Scrip card at checkout knowing that DSHS PTA is benefitting financially from your shopping.
