A huge thank you from PTA! - Thank you to all the generous families who donated to our “youths in need” drive to help families with food for Thanksgiving.  We appreciate your generosity and support.

Help us reach our goal today! Thank you parents and families that have already donated to PTA’s direct donation campaign.  We are $5,200 away from our goal of raising $25,000.  Please donate today and help us reach our goal!  All donations support students, teachers, and classroom needs. You can give via check, or on the PTA website at dshspta.org, or through our new Venmo account @davishighschoolpta.  Donate in honor of your student(s) or a teacher today. Every donation is welcome and appreciated. Thank you for your support!

Dear Families,

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year at Davis Senior High School! The DHS PTA is excited to partner with parents, teachers, and staff to make this a successful school year for our kids and the DHS community.

Our mission is to promote the welfare of students and our school community; and to support the collaboration of teachers, parents, and staff to create a more successful, inclusive, equitable, and nurturing school environment for all. We run on the hard work of a few dedicated volunteers, so please get involved where you can!

JOIN THE PTA: Become a member of the DHS PTA by filling out the membership form on our website at DHS PTA website and paying a $15 membership fee. This will allow you to vote at PTA meetings. Please also encourage friends and family members to join as well.

Be sure to attend PTA meetings to meet other parents, establish relationships with administrators and staff, and learn more about the DHS community. Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2023 at 7pm in the DHS library. Stay tuned for more information.

DONATE TO THE PTA: Our annual budget is donation-based and depends entirely on your support. We ask every family who is able to make a direct donation to support your student(s) and our school. A suggested donation of $200 per family will help fund all of the wonderful opportunities the PTA provides for students, teachers, and staff. ANY amount is welcome and appreciated! Funds support programs such as Partners in Education (PIE) grants for teachers to help with needs in their classrooms and student clubs, teacher appreciation/hospitality, and PTA scholarships.

Our budget also contributes to friendship day, the athletics and counseling departments, the Davis Parent University, and so much more. In the 2022-2023 school year PTA funded over $22,000 in programs for students, teachers, and the school community. These initiatives support nearly 1,800 students and 100 staff members! We are really grateful to be able to support all of these important programs because of your donation. Donate any time on the PTA website.

GET INVOLVED: The PTA is always looking for volunteers. Be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities sent via our email list throughout the year. Volunteering with the PTA is a fun and fulfilling way to get involved with the DHS community and make a difference.

STAY INFORMED: The best way to stay up to date on everything PTA related is to subscribe to the PTA email list. You can also subscribe to the daily DHS bulletin. You can sign up for the PTA email list and daily bulletin on the PTA website under communications.  The best place for further information about the DHS community is through the school newspaper, The Blue Devil HUB and the DHS news show, The Brakedown.

I have been involved with PTA for over 12 years in several positions and served as PTA president at Willett Elementary and Emerson Junior High School.  I have a Sophomore and Senior this year, and I’m looking forward to working with an awesome PTA board and all of you to help serve the DHS community.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved please contact presidentdhspta@gmail.com.

Wishing everyone a great year,
