ANNOUNCEMENTS
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!
Take a moment to read this PTA President's Welcome Letter from our new PTA President, Eric Roe. Eric and his hardworking team of PTA board members are excited to partner with you to serve our DSHS school community.
For incoming students, the annual Blue Devil Day (schedule pickup) is planned for Tuesday, August 20 in the North Gym.
Sophomores & Split-Site: 8:30-11 a.m.
Juniors: 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Seniors: 1-3:30 p.m.
The Blue Devil Day information was distributed on August 6 in email from Assistant Principal Sonam Singh and can be found posted on the DSHS home page.
Now is a good time for parents and families to connect to the communication channels that will help keep you informed throughout the year. Suggestions include:
Complete the DJUSD Annual Registration, an online process that must be completed each year to grant permissions/preferences, review district forms, and update contact and medical information.
Follow social media channels including Instagram (@davisseniorhighschool, @dshs_pta) and Facebook (@DavisJointUnifiedSchoolDistrict, @dshs.pta).
Subscribe to the PTA Email List.
Subscribe to the DSHS Daily Bulletin.
Visit The HUB, the student-created online news source for DSHS.
Follow The News Cycle, a weekly podcast produced by the DSHS Blue Devil Hub and the Davis Enterprise that dives into issues relevant to students and residents.
Review the DSHS Communication Pathway to understand how to most effectively provide input during the year.
Consider getting involved with the PTA to make a positive difference in your student's school experience. Whether you can attend PTA meetings, help with teacher and staff hospitality events, or provide a financial donation... any amount of involvement makes a big difference.
We look forward to working together this year!

In 2024, the PTA 10th/11th grade student awards are being used to further the legacy of Thong Hy Huynh. PTA asked students to submit applications that address how they understand and can promote the values of diversity, social justice, and equal rights in the DSHS community. PTA is thrilled to be able to support a variety of student interests and clubs at DHS.

DECEMBER 2023
A huge thank you from PTA! Thank you to all the generous families who donated to our “youths in need” drive to help families with food for Thanksgiving. We appreciate your generosity and support.
OCTOBER 2023
Help us reach our goal! Thank you parents and families who have already donated to PTA’s direct donation campaign. We are only $5,200 away from our $25,000 goal. Please donate today to get us over the line to fully funded programs.
All donations support students, teachers, and classroom needs. You can give by check (left in the DSHS main office), through our PTA donation website, or via Venmo (@davishighschoolpta). Donate in honor of your student(s) or a teacher today. Every donation is welcome and appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
